the more things change, the more they stay the same...

wedding traditions have evolved in leaps and bounds over the centuries but one aspect of the wedding that has endured, for the most part unchanged, is the marriage proposal: person 1 meets person 2, they fall in love, then after whatever length of time they deem appropriate, person 1 will declare their love and desire to be with person 2 forever, at which point person 2 says an enthusiastic "Yes!" and the rest is history.

while we haven't really changed what we do when it comes to marriage proposals, we've certainly gotten bigger and better when it comes to the way we do it.
