A Beloved consultation is a free, one-on-one appointment with a dedicated ring consultant — in store at any of our six Canadian locations, or by phone for guests who aren't nearby. It is unhurried, personal, and completely without pressure.

We get to know your story

Every consultation starts with questions — not about budget or stone shape, but about you. How did you meet? What is your partner like? What kind of jewelry do they reach for every day? We start with a story, hand-select stones for their extraordinary character, sketch settings specifically for that stone's one-of-a-kind colouring and cut, and produce a ring that will never be made again. One of the things that makes bluboho genuinely different is our sapphires.

We source them directly — which means we know exactly where they came from, and we carry colours that most jewelry stores simply never see. Sapphire is the only natural gemstone harder than diamond (rating 9 on the Mohs hardness scale), making it an extraordinary choice for a ring worn every single day. It is tough, durable, brilliant, and deeply personal.

But here is what we really love about sapphires: words almost fail them.

Is there a cost for the consultation? No. Your Beloved consultation is completely free, with no obligation to purchase.

Can I book a consultation by phone if I'm not near a store? Yes. Many of our most meaningful Beloved conversations happen by phone. Your consultant will follow up with a written summary of everything you discussed and the pieces you loved.

Do you only do engagement rings? Not at all. Beloved pieces mark every occasion worth celebrating — anniversaries, commitments, milestones, and gifts to yourself. If it matters to you, it matters to us.

What if I'm not sure what I'm looking for? That's exactly what a consultation is for. Come with nothing but your story — that's all we need to start.

How do I choose a ring size if it's a surprise proposal? Try to secretly borrow a ring your partner wears on their ring finger and bring it to your consultation. We can measure it for you. If that's not possible, don't worry — size 6 is the most common ring size in women, and our complimentary resize means we'll make it perfect after the proposal.

What is the difference between 14k and 18k gold? The majority of our Beloved pieces are crafted in 14k gold, chosen for its durability and softness of colour. 14k is strong, wearable every day, and holds its beauty over time. 18k is slightly softer and richer in colour. We'll walk you through both at your consultation.
